By coupling raw and earthy materials with high-quality leathers and nonpareil contours, ç a r n c e handbags merge edgy with chic. Chance Jackson, creative director for ç a r n c e, started the luxe handbag company known for its unique leathers and unconventional hardware in 2004. After attending fashion school at El Centro College in Dallas, Jackson furthered his education by attending the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City. FIT offered Jackson the opportunity to take part in the Shanghai China Cup international design competition; his collection was a hit and merited a position in the semifinals. Upon graduating FIT and returning to Dallas, Jackson’s accolades began growing in number, ultimately awarding him international recognition from Germany and Barcelona. Jackson was a top finalist for two consecutive years in the Texas Next Top Designer competition and a semifinalist in Bravo TV’s hit series Project Runway (Season Six). Jackson was honored to show his collection at Miami Fashion Week with designer Abi Ferrin and will make a presence in October at New Jersey Fashion Week. Recently, ç a r n c e was a finalist for the Juli B Style Award and the Independent Handbag Designer Awards sponsored by InStyle Magazine and Handbagdesigner 101. ç a r n c e is attracting celebrities like Juan Barbieri from The Bachelor Pad and Tenley Molzhan who sported a bag at The Teen Choice Awards.
